What a coup for Russell! And what a smart move for Peter and Blair.
I actually predicted last year that NZ would come on. SailGP is just too attractive for top-talent to ignore. It truly has become the F1 of sailing….just as it always aspired to be.
You can’t really blame these fellas for jumping ship. AC36 has turned into a complete dumpster fire under ETNZ.
The most tantalizing tidbit will be who comes along to sponsor Team NZL. That will be fun to watch.
I mean, seriously, not even I, the master of pot-stirring, can keep up with Russell. Well-done my good man. Well-done.
